Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Arkansas Equestrian Center at the State Fair Rodeo Grounds. Great for the very beginner… and a refresher for those who have done it before!
If you have ever wanted to learn how all those cowboys and cowgirls do these events, come and try them out. Our Rodeo School is geared for the very beginner who has never competed before! Come and learn all about the how-to’s.
This is a great way to learn as it is a stress-free environment. You will be instructed by experienced cowboys and cowgirls, and you can practice your event more than once (time permitting). It is also a great refresher for those who have entered before to get warmed up, practice with the stock, and maybe learn a new technique or two!
A one-time fee of $30 will be charged. This covers instruction on six (6) events and lunch.

Come on and give our Rodeo School a go! The only thing you will regret is if you don’t give it a try.
Rodeo School Equipment
As a minimum, please bring the following with you to the Rodeo School:
That’s all you need to get you started. DSRA has access to ropes, protective vests, helmets (size permitting} and steer rigging for you to use if you so wish – or bring your own.
Optionally, you can bring a long-sleeved shirt (great for the sun or additional protection), a mouthpiece (that’s personal), and/or a hockey helmet. These are strongly suggested but not required.
